The problem
Offline marketing - flyers, packaging, table tents, out-of-home ads - is invisible to analytics. Teams spend real money on campaigns and get back one number: total scans. Which city converted? Which flyer variant won the split test? Which channel actually drove offline-to-online revenue? Scanely answers that with the same precision teams already get from paid-ads dashboards.
The build
Every QR is a lightweight Cloudflare Worker route. Scans are logged and redirected at the edge from 300+ locations, keeping the user-facing step under 50 ms even while the analytics pipeline does real work. Destination URLs are editable after print - the QR on the flyer never changes, the landing behind it can. Behind the codes: per-scan geo, device and referrer capture, A/B split rotation, UTM auto-appending, PDF and CSV exports, password-gated links, custom branding, and Stripe subscriptions with a permanent free tier.
Why it matters
Restaurants use Scanely to compare menu variants across locations. Retailers track flyer performance city by city. Agencies attribute offline campaigns for their clients without another tag manager rollout. The product is a live proof of the same stack we sell as an agency - Astro on Cloudflare, edge-first, cheap to run at scale.
